Our Goal
Fewer Vacuum Funerals

At The Vacuum Store, we don’t just sell vacuums—we live and breathe them.

(Figuratively, of course. We let our vacuums do the breathing.)

Unlike big box stores that treat vacuums as an afterthought, they’re our one and only specialty. Repairing, maintaining, and matching you with the perfect vacuum is what we do best.

Got a vacuum that’s lost its oomph? Belt snapped? Bag overflowing like your junk drawer? Or maybe you just want to give your vacuum a little TLC before it turns into a dust-spitting menace? We’ve got you covered. Our fast, friendly, and affordable repair services will have your vacuum running like new in no time.

We service all makes and models, including Riccar, Electrolux, Fuller, and many more. Whether it’s an old faithful or a shiny new model that met an unfortunate Lego incident, we’ll get it back in tip-top shape.

While we love fixing vacuums, we also want to help you avoid costly repairs.

(We’re not like those mechanics who get excited when your check engine light comes on.)

So, we’ve put together some simple tips to help extend the life of your vacuum and keep it from going belly-up before its time.

Don’t Feed It Anything Too Big

Vacuums are not snack machines. If you try to suck up items that are too large (like socks, Legos, or that missing earring you just found), you might jam the brushes, burn out the belt, or even overheat the motor. If it’s bigger than a quarter, bend down and pick it up—you’ll save yourself an expensive repair.

De-Hair the Beater Bar

That spinning brush underneath your vacuum? It’s called the beater bar, and it’s basically a hair magnet. Over time, it collects enough hair and lint to make its own wig, which can slow it down and stress out your vacuum’s belt and motor. Take a minute to cut away the gunk every now and then—it’ll thank you by actually doing its job.

Regular Maintenance = A Happy Vacuum

Would you drive your car for years without an oil change? (Please say no.) Your vacuum is the same way! Change the bags, swap out the filters, and empty the canister regularly. A full vacuum works harder, which means more wear and tear and less suction power. Keep it clean, and it’ll keep your floors cleaner.

Attachments Exist for a Reason—Use Them Wisely

Each attachment is designed for a specific job. The long wand? Perfect for cobwebs and under-the-couch treasure hunts. The upholstery brush? Great for furniture and pet hair. But using the wand to inhale large objects? Bad idea. That’s how you end up with a clogged hose and a vacuum that sounds like it’s wheezing for help.

Show Your Vacuum Some Love

A little cleaning goes a long way. Wipe down the outside, clear out dust buildup, and keep those parts in top shape. Your vacuum spends its life cleaning for you—return the favor every once in a while. A clean vacuum = a happy vacuum and a cleaner home.
